A3P: To Fulfill Biden’s Unity Pledge, Senate Must Reject Gupta

WASHINGTON – Mike Davis, President and Founder of the Article III Project, today released the following statement urging the Senate to oppose Vanita Gupta’s nomination to be Associate Attorney General.

“President Biden claims to oppose defunding the police. Vanita Gupta supports defunding the police. President Biden claims to oppose politicizing the Justice Department. Vanita Gupta supports a partisan, political agenda for the Justice Department. President Biden claims to oppose packing the Supreme Court. Vanita Gupta supports packing the Supreme Court. President Biden ran on a pledge to help unify and heal the country. Vanita Gupta has a record of hostile partisanship and extremist views.

“Actions speak louder than words. President Biden either means what he says or it’s all a guise to enact radical, leftist policies. It’s often said that you can tell a lot about a person by the company they keep. Big Tech, left-wing activists, anti-police anarchists and anti-constitutional extremists all support Vanita Gupta. That’s all the Senate needs to know to deny her confirmation. To make good on President Biden’s pledge to unify the country, the Senate must reject Vanita Gupta’s nomination.”

The Article III Project (A3P) was founded by veteran GOP operative and attorney Mike Davis, who, after helping win the Senate confirmation battles of Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, developed the reputation as a “take-no-prisoners conservative eager to challenge the left with hardball tactics,” as reported in The New York Times. A3P defends constitutionalist judges, punches back on radical assaults on judicial independence (like court-packing) and opposes judicial and other nominees who are outside of the mainstream.

Davis previously served as Chief Counsel for Nominations to Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) on the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary and led the Senate confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh and a record number of circuit court judges.
