A3P Calls on Senate Democrats to Denounce Boston University’s Professor Ibram Kendi’s Vile, Racist Attacks on Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s Family

WASHINGTON, DC — The Article III Project (A3P), which promotes and defends President Trump’s judicial nominees and appointed judges, today calls on the media to hold Senate Democrats to the same standard as the media would for Senate Republicans by asking Senate Democrats whether they denounce Boston University Professor Ibram Kendi’s vile and racist attacks on Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s family.

Kendi attacked Judge Barrett for adopting two Haitian children with a tweet stating: “Some White colonizers ‘adopted’ Black children. They ‘civilized’ these ‘savage’ children in the ‘superior’ ways of White people, while using them as props in their lifelong pictures of denial, while cutting the biological parents of these children out of the picture of humanity.”

Yesterday, Louisiana Senator John Kennedy asked Judge Barrett about Kendi’s disgusting comments and she said: “They are my children who we love and who we brought home and made part of our family and accusations like that are cruel.”

“Boston University Professor Ibram Kendi’s vile and racist attacks on Judge Amy Coney Barrett and her family based upon their decision to adopt two Black children is beyond even the kind of disgusting behavior we have come to expect from Senate Democrats and their allies on the left,” said A3P Founder and President Mike Davis. “If this were said about a Democrat president’s nominee to the Supreme Court, the media would be demanding that every Republican Senator denounce those hateful comments. It’s time for the media to hold Senate Democrats to that same standard and press them on whether they denounce Kendi and his abhorrent attacks.”
