A3P Announces New Judiciary Tracker Tool

Washington, DC — Mike Davis, founder and president of The Article III Project (A3P), issued the following statement on the creation of A3P’s new comprehensive tracker of the federal judiciary, judicial vacancies, nominations, and the balance of the federal courts:

“The Article III Project (A3P) has created a free public search tool called Judiciary Tracker — a one-stop shop for up-to-date and comprehensive information on the federal judiciary, judicial vacancies, nominations, and the balance of the federal courts.

Americans should not have to hire lobbyists, go to Swamp School, or navigate around media bias in order to stay up-to-date on President Trump’s record-breaking success in remaking the federal judiciary with federal judges who understand that their modest, but critical role is to interpret the law as written — and not how these unelected judges wish the laws were written if they were elected lawmakers.”

Featured Data:

  • The comparison of the pace between President Trump and all prior president’s on judicial nominations. At 43 federal circuit judges confirmed, so far, President Trump continues to shatter the all-time record for the number of federal circuit judges appointed at this point in any presidency. The next closest is President Nixon, at 30. And at 146 total Article III judges confirmed, so far, President Trump has the second-fastest confirmation rate of all 44 of his predecessors for Article III judicial nominees. President Trump will soon claim the number-one spot, if the Senate timely confirms his Article III judicial nominees who are currently pending confirmation votes on the Senate floor.

  • The composition of the federal judiciary, which breaks down the balance of each federal court throughout the United States by the party of the president who appointed the judges.

  • The vacancies in the federal judiciary, which breaks down the remaining vacancies for the Supreme Court, courts of appeals, district courts, and the court of international trade.

  • The pending judicial nominations, which explains the nomination process and shows the pending nominations before the United States Senate.
