WASHINGTON — Mike Davis, Founder and President of the Article III Project, issued the following statement after Attorney General Merrick Garland testified in front of the House Judiciary Committee.
“Attorney General Merrick Garland’s partisanship and dishonesty were on full display today before the House Judiciary Committee. Garland, with marching orders from his boss Joe Biden, has politicized and weaponized the Biden Justice Department to go after Biden’s political enemies. Most notably, Christians, parents, and conservatives.
“We learned that David Weiss indeed did not have full authority during the Hunter Biden investigation, something that directly contradicted Garland’s previous statements about the powers Weiss held in the investigation.
“When Garland was asked if Catholics were extremists, it took him far too long to answer—and with crocodile tears. This was truly a peek into the mindset of Garland and the Biden Justice Department as a whole—those who disagree with them are extremists who must be cowed, silenced, and even imprisoned. The softball questions lobbed up by his Democrat allies proved once again that care much more about power than justice.
“Americans are rightly outraged by the two-tiered system of justice that exists under Biden and Garland. Joe and Hunter Biden committed real crimes—repeatedly—that have greatly endangered our national security. And Garland is covering up for his boss by going after Biden’s political enemies. The House must impeach Garland,” said Davis.
The Article III Project (A3P) was founded by veteran GOP operative and attorney Mike Davis, who, after helping win the Senate confirmation battles of Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, developed the reputation as a “take-no-prisoners conservative eager to challenge the left with hardball tactics,” as reported in The New York Times.
A3P defends constitutionalist judges, punches back on radical assaults on judicial independence (like court-packing) and opposes judicial and other nominees who are outside of the mainstream. Davis previously served as Chief Counsel for Nominations to Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) on the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary and led the Senate confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh and a record number of circuit court judges.
