Article III Project Statement on ProPublica’s Hit Job on Justice Samuel Alito

WASHINGTON — Mike Davis, Founder and President of the Article III Project, issued the following statement after ProPublica launched another attack on a constitutionalist Supreme Court Justice, Samuel Alito.

“Here we go again. ProPublica once again shows it’s nothing more than a leftwing hit squad masquerading as a news organization. ProPublica again relies on leftwing so-called ‘ethics experts’ to smear conservative justices who did nothing wrong and fully complied with the ethics rules.

“As with the previous hit job on Justice Thomas, ProPublica’s obvious intent in this attack on Justice Alito is to undermine the legitimacy of a Supreme Court now that it has the first constitutionalist majority in 90 years. If ProPublica actually cared about government corruption, they’d report about the Biden Justice Department covering up the boss and his family’s foreign bribery and corruption—for years,” said Mike Davis, Founder and President of the Article III Project.

The Article III Project (A3P) was founded by veteran GOP operative and attorney Mike Davis, who, after helping win the Senate confirmation battles of Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, developed the reputation as a “take-no-prisoners conservative eager to challenge the left with hardball tactics,” as reported in The New York Times.

A3P defends constitutionalist judges, punches back on radical assaults on judicial independence (like court-packing) and opposes judicial and other nominees who are outside of the mainstream. Davis previously served as Chief Counsel for Nominations to Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) on the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary and led the Senate confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh and a record number of circuit court judges.
